REMINDERS
ABOUT WHAT TO BRING:
We are excited to be
holding Mysterium in the same location as last year, at The Box Office in the Arts District (also where we held the recent Witches & Wizards Ball). There is plenty of parking in the area. Inside, the space is divided into two large rooms, one of which will be used for
checking in, food area, and social area; while the other room will be used for workshops and dance space Fri & Sat nights. The location has a concrete floor, so whatever rugs and throw pillows
you can bring ON SATURDAY would be very helpful. There is not a heating system there, but we did not have problems last year with the temperature. However, you may want to dress in layers on Saturday.
Friday,
January 29 – Potluck & Candledance
Potluck at 6:00PM, CandleDance begins at 8:00PM
For the potluck, please bring your dish along with serving utensils, and
PLEASE remember to collect what you brought when you leave. This
potluck is NOT limited to vegetarian offerings.
** In order to tread lightly on the Earth, throughout the
weekend, we suggest you please bring your own
plate, cup and/or mug, & utensils, LABELED with your name or
initials.
Saturday, January
30 – Workshops
Our Bagel Brunch is at 11:00 AM
Workshops run from 12:30- 5:00PM, guest speaker Oberon Zell at 1:30pm
Contributions of snackfoods, juice, fruit, etc are welcome for both during the daytime
as well as for the all-night circle. If you have a nice serving
tray or two that we could use for the food altar, please bring
that as well.
You may want to dress
in layers today, we don’t quite know what to predict in terms
of room temperature. Some workshops likely will have you sitting (we
have plenty of chairs) while others will have you lie down. You may
want to bring floor cushions or a yoga mat to lie on, a pen and
notebook, and refillable water bottle. It would also be nice to have
some snackfood to share, if you wish to bring some. We will be
taking a dinner break at about 5:00pm.
Saturday Evening
- Mysterium Alchemical Fire Circle
Doors open at 9:00PM / Orientation for new friends at 10:00PM
Also good to dress in layers, but we expect the room to be warm from all our bodies and
candles. Please bring some finger food snack items for the food
altar, as well as cushions for the floor to rest on and other
personal comforts. Also, of course, bring musical instruments,
heartshares, poetry, masks, facepaint, and any other forms of
expression to share during our night together. No new attendees will be allowed in after midnight

Please bring a VEGETARIAN food contribution to the potluck,
plus your own PLATE, CUP, and UNTENSILS. Consider bringing
healthy options such as salad, cheese, fruit, rice, tofu, pasta or
organic desserts. More cushions and other ways to make seating
comfortable, such as camping chairs, will be welcome also.
