Thursday October 22nd HARVEST HOMECOMING FEAST OF FRIENDS from 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM. Located at a private residence, near Pecos & Russell in Las Vegas. You will get directions emailed to you once you Register. Join us for a community potluck! Bring your friends, your well-behaved children, your musical instruments, your stories, and other magical surprises to delight and enchant us all! There is no charge for this evening, but please do bring a delicious dish to share with friends as we nurture and nourish each other. Please Register if you plan to attend, so that we can plan ahead, as well as send you directions Friday October 23rd The WITCHES AND WIZARD'S BALL from 9:00 PM - 1:00 AM.
Located at The Box Office, 1129 S. Casino Center Blvd. in the Arts District. Featuring live DJ music from Master Leo Diaz, a special midnight ritual, and lots of astonishing wonders! Creative and festive costumes and masks are encouraged but not required. We will be accepting suggested $10-20 cash donations at the door to cover expenses.Please Register if you plan to attend, so that we can plan ahead, as well as send you directions. Saturday October 24th BONE DANCE and ALCHEMIFIRE RITUAL from 9:00 PM until Sunrise.
Location: The Goddess Temple in Cactus Springs (about an hour away from Las Vegas) The evening will commence with Desert Moon Circle facilitating the opening ritual, a ceremony of honoring the shifting seasons of the year, and opening the way for the rest of the night's magick...
In past years, Kaya has created beautiful altars honoring the ancestors, and she is taking a break this year. Do you have something you would like to create or contribute? Email Morganne at registrar@vegasvortex.comif you would like to help create the visual, artistic magic of the night.(for pictures of Kaya's incredible installation last year, go to http://vegasvortex.com/gallery/fallfest08 After the ceremony, we will go straight on into our All-Night Sacred Alchemifire Circle; drumming, dancing and singing up the sun. Please remember to bring warm clothes (the desert gets chilly/windy this time of year), plenty of water to drink and to share, finger food snacks for the food altar, drums and instruments, chants and poetry, chairs and a flashlight.
If you'd like to make a donation of firewood or money to the Goddess Temple, please feel free to do so, but there is no fee for this evening's event. No pets, drugs or alcohol, please. Location: the McBride House of Mystery (near Russell & Pecos)
Join us for an enchanted evening of Community Relaxation and Re-Integration, as well as sharings of music, magic or other mysteries. Please bring food and drink to share, as well as your plates and utensils, and whatever you need to serve your offering. Please Register if you plan to attend, so that we can plan ahead, as well as send you directions
If you have special skills that you'd like to donate to the Vegas Vortex, please let us know; many hands make light work for all! It is likely we'll have out of town guests coming to Las Vegas for this incredible weekend; please keep an eye on the Vegas Vortex discussion list and consider opening your homes to friends from far away!
